Terms and Conditions

Arrival

We ask that you arrive approx 30min prior to your booking time, to complete all necessary forms and undertake a comprehensive safety induction. In consideration to our schedules, please try to arrive on time. If running late please call, don’t text. If guests are not onboard 30 Minutes after the scheduled departure time, the booking may be considered a “no show” and cancelled without refund. No shows will forfeit their deposit and monies paid.

Area of Operation

Our Cruising grounds extend from Runaway Bay, along the Coomera River up to Sanctuary cove, as far north as Tipplers Resort and as far South as the Western reaches of Wave Break Island. A map will be provided with the operation area clearly marked. Operating outside these areas at any time, may result in termination of the hire. These rules are in place for your safety. Our boats are GPS tracked at all times.

Alcohol & Drugs

Customer Requirements: As per ‘Self Hire and Drive Regulations’, customers are not allowed to be under the influence of ALCOHOL OR DRUGS at any time while on Gold Coast Pontoon and Jet Ski Tours/ Aqua Sports Queensland PTY LTD Boats Or Skis.

The nominated skipper on the day may not be under the influence of any illicit drug while in charge of the vessel. Failure to obey the law, will result in loss of Bond and termination of hire. Beverages brought onto the vessel must be a mix of alcoholic and non alcoholic types to demonstrate responsible consumption and must be limited to reasonable amounts.

Also, please note that is is prohibited to consume alcohol in a public place and therefore should not be consumed when arriving at the marina, as this may result in termination of hire.

Bonds

The amount of Bond for the hire per vessel is $500 and is secured by means of pre Authorisation on your chosen credit card at time of induction and will be released immediately in full once the vessel has been returned in good order excluding reasonable wear and tear and all conditions of hire have been adhered to. Please be aware that some breakages may result in higher costs being charged.

Deposits

A deposit payment of 50% is payable at time of phone bookings by means of credit card or direct transfer, with balance paid 7 days prior to hire. Online bookings are paid in full.

Public Holiday

We kindly inform you that there will be an additional charge on Public Holidays, One of our staff will contact you if your booking falls on a public holiday

Safe operation of Vessel

Hiring of our boats is an activity that is undertaken at your own risk and while we take all care, and supply all safety equipment, no responsibility for injury or death is accepted by Gold Coast Pontoons and Jet Ski Tours/Aqua Sports Queensland.

A comprehensive safety briefing will be conducted prior to vessel hand over and covers the following subjects:

Area of operation, including safe anchorages and boundary limitations.

Safe handling of the vessel and all of the equipment on board

Maritime rules and regulations.

Incident handling, Safety Operating Procedures and communication

The nominated skipper must have a good command of the English language and demonstrate a full understanding of Safety Briefing.

Integral to our product is a very comprehensive safety briefing which is essential for all participants to view and understand. All participants must complete the accompanying test prior to departure on any of our jet ski tour and failure to complete this test successfully will result in the inability to travel with us.

Customers are required to arrive 30 mins prior to their booking for check-in prior to the start of the safety brief. No shows or late arrivals will forfeit and monies or bookings made.

Jet skiing is not suitable for pregnant customers. Customers must be in good health with no previous neck, back or spinal injuries of any kind or any other medical conditions which may cause injury to anyone partaking in the Activity.

By booking with Gold Coast Pontoons and Jet Ski/ Aqua Sports Queensland PTY LTD, Customers confirm that they, their passengers or any Under 18’s listed on the form, have no current or previous Neck, Back or Spinal Injuries of any sort or any other medical conditions which may cause injury to themselves or anyone partaking in the Activity. 

Children

We recommend that all children 12 years of age and younger wear life jackets at all time whilst vessel is in motion.

Wheelchair Access

We regret to inform you that our vessels do not have Wheelchair access. This decision was taken with your safety in mind.

Cancellation

Re scheduling of hire is permitted once free of charge with a minimum of 14 days notice. Cancellation of hire for reasons other than instigated by us, will result in loss of monies paid. We will re schedule to a suitable and available alternate day . As weather can be unpredictable at times, we check forecasts on the morning of hire and make determination to re schedule a hire at this time, with your safety in mind.

State of Vessel at time of return

We ask that you use the bin provided for all of your rubbish and you keep the vessel as tidy as possible. The cleaning of Gold Coast Pontoons and Jet Skis Vessel will be undertaken by us at end of hire. Please be mindful of the toilet and respect this facility. No feminine hygiene or foreign product is to be placed in the toilet. A bin is provided. We also ask that any accidents be cleaned up prior to return of vessel. A blocked toilet caused by foreign object or misuse will result in a fee being deducted from your Bond.

As hirer of one of Gold Coast Pontoons and Jet Ski Tours/Aqua Sports Queensland pty ltd vessels you are responsible for any damage to the vessel unless our Insurance Policy covers the accident or loss of the vessel. In the case of a successful insurance claim an excess of up to $1000 may still be payable.

Gold Coast Pontoons and Jetski Tour and any of it’s staff reserve the right to terminate or refuse hire to any patron, if deemed unfit.
